As a Junior: Was the Bobcat’s primary center fielder last season and played in 48 games…Registered 133 at-bats, good for fourth on the team…Finished the season with just three errors for her center field position and also contributed offensively with 25 hits, 15 runs, one triple, eight RBI and seven stolen bases…Salgado kickstarted her season with two of her best offensive games of the year as she went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, two RBIs and one stolen base on Feb. 26 against St. Peter’s…Soon after Salgado went 3-for-4 from the dish with two runs and two stolen bases on the afternoon against Bowling Green…Singled and scored a run against Bethune-Cookman on March 3…Singled in two consecutive games on March 13 and 14 against San Diego St. and San Diego, respectively…Drove in a run against CSU Bakersfield on March 16…Went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and a stolen base on April 1 against Sacred Heart…Finished 2-for-4 highlighted by a two-run single against LIU Brooklyn on April 6…Singled and scored a run on April 7 against Central Conn. As a Sophomore: Made 56 appearances and 55 starts for Quinnipiac in her second year…Ranked third on the team with a .293 batting average and second in runs scored (27)…Contributed 48 hits and seven RBI, while collecting 50 total bases…Led the team and Northeast Conference with 18 stolen bases on the year…Posted a .305 slugging percentage and .314 on-base percentage.
As a Freshman: Appeared in 49 games for the Bobcats, starting 44 of them...Was first on the team with 23 runs...Ranked third on the team with 34 hits...Hit one double and contributed 2 RBI's...Led the Bobcats with 16 stolen bases on the year.
Before Quinnipiac: Played softball and ran track all four years for Bishop Amat High School in La Puente, Calif...Also played for the Firecracker Gold-Ristow Amateur Softball team...Led her high school and travel teams in steals and runs, and has been clocked running from home plate to first base in 2.6 seconds...Invited to compete in the ASA Nationals in Oklahoma in August of 2008 where she scored seven runs and stole four bases...Was an Arroyo Tournament Champion for softball in 2009…Was a Cif D3 4x1 Relay Track and Field Champion…Was named All-Cif in the 200-meter dash…Named to the Bishop Amat High School Hall of Fame for her athletic and academic accolades.
