BABSON PARK, Massachusetts – The Quinnipiac baseball team had two players honored by the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) on Wednesday, May 20 as first baseman Vincent Guglietti (East Haven, Connecticut) was named to the NEIBA Division I All-New England Second Team and outfielder Mike Palladino (Rockville Centre, New York) was named to the NEIBA Division I All-New England Third Team.

This is the second consecutive season in which Guglietti was named to the NEIBA All-New England team while Palladino's honor is the first of his career. Guglietti and Palladino were previously honored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) on May 19 at the league's awards banquet as they were both named to the All-MAAC First Team.

Through the first game of the MAAC Tournament, Guglietti has a slash line of .321/.402/.578 with nine home runs, 15 doubles, 40 runs scored and 45 RBI. He leads the Bobcats in slugging percentage (.578), home runs (9), runs scored (40), RBI (45), and walks (24). Guglietti also set the Quinnipiac baseball career doubles record this season with 49 and is among the top 10 players in program history in numerous offensive categories.

Palladino is having a breakout junior season in 2015 as he leads the Bobcats in batting average (.325), on-base percentage (.419), doubles (16), runs (40), hits (63), and stolen bases (26). Palladino's 26 stolen bases are the most in a single-season in Quinnipiac baseball history, as well as the most in the MAAC this season.

The Bobcats return to action Thursday afternoon in the second day of the MAAC Tournament when they face the No. 2 seed Canisius Golden Griffins at Dutchess Stadium with first pitch set for 12 P.M.
