Quinnipiac Student-Athletes Assist Incoming Freshmen on Move-In Day

Hamden, Conn. - Tuesday marked the start of the journey for Quinnipiac’s Class of 2019 as the incoming freshmen arrived on the Mount Carmel campus to begin their journey to higher education. In what has become an annual tradition, student-athletes from several Quinnipiac Athletics' teams were on-hand to assist incoming freshmen with their move into their new residence halls.

Members of the women’s volleyball, women’s soccer, men’s soccer, women's rugby, and both cross country teams worked together to unload countless cars to help expedite the process.

From televisions, refrigerators, to a mountain of clothing, every team donated their free time to help their fellow students feel welcomed to campus.

Quinnipiac volleyball junior Emma Ogden (Chesterton, Ind.) caught up with us on her experience moving the freshmen in. Ogden told us that one of the most memorable parts of the day was to see how excited the incoming students would get when they saw their new rooms.

Ogden said that it was a rewarding experiences and said "We had a parent tell us today that this is such a nice community".

Orientation can be a difficuilt transition for incoming freshmen, but Quinnipiac Athletics did their part to make it easier for their new fellow Bobcats.
